Grant Baker & Steve Finnigan have together acquired 100% ownership of Auckland post house Images & Sound by buying out third owner, Rose Evans.

Evans has been a shareholder in the company since mid-2008 when her husband Geoff tragically died during an ocean swim event in Auckland harbour.

“Rose has been a fantastic and supportive business partner,” says Finnigan. “It wasn’t an easy decision for Rose to sell, given the long family involvement in the company, but in the end we all agreed the time was right for Grant and I to commit ourselves fully to the future of the business.”

The company dates back to 1983 when it started as Video Images Ltd, later becoming Images Post and then merging with Mandrill Audio Post in 1997 to form Images & Sound, now one of New Zealand’s largest post-production facilities and a strong supporter of the local film & television industry.
