Fairfax Media, official New Zealand representative to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, is delighted to announce the New Zealand selections for the 2012 Cannes Lions juries.
Fairfax Media Group Sales and Marketing Manager Sandra King says the selected jurors represent the country’s leading creative talent.
“New Zealand’s creative communications industry is renowned for punching above its weight. It’s great to see some of the local industry’s best selected to jury panels at the Cannes Lions 2012 where they will help select the world’s best creative communications campaigns. The selection process involves choosing the best in the business while weighing up a fair cross-section of representatives from agency groups and regions.”
The selected jurors are:
Media Lions Jury: Louise Bond, CEO, SparkPHD
Direct Lions Jury: Dave King, Executive Creative Director, M&C Saatchi
Cyber Lions Jury: Josh Moore, Executive Creative Director, Y&R
Radio Lions Jury: Tony Clewett, Creative Director, DraftFCB
PR Lions Jury: Claudia MacDonald, Managing Director, Mango Communications
Promo & Activation Jury President: Nick Worthington, Creative Chairman, Colenso BBDO
“The breadth of the representation of New Zealand’s brightest and best creative communicators on the 2012 juries is a testament to the strength of the New Zealand creative communications industry,” adds King. “We have representation on six of the fifteen juries at the festival. In past years New Zealand campaigns have been richly rewarded and I look forward to this year’s Festival where I’m sure our industry will again receive the accolades it deserves.”
