Campaign Brief ranks NZ agencies

DDB & Colenso are the hottest big shops in town – and Special Group & Barnes Catmur are the hottest small agencies, according to the latest Campaign Brief Creativity/Billings NZ index.

Not far behind come Mojo & Whybin\TBWA and Droga5. Next in line are DraftFCB, Saatchi Auckland, Clemenger Wellington, Sugar, M&C Saatchi Auckland, Shine and Consortium. Then we have M&C Wellington, Assignment, Saatchi Wellington, JWT, .99, Ogilvy and Y&R Auckland.

Bringing up the rear (but still in the hot zone) are Republik, Y&R Wellington and bcg2.

DDB had the biggest billings (approximately A$175 million), followed by Ogilvy (A$130m) and DraftFCB (A$120m).

Colenso and .99 were next (around A$75m), followed by Saatchi (A$70m), Clemenger & Mojo (both A$60m), JWT and Whybin\TBWA and Y&R (A$45m), Saatchi Wellington (A$35m), Sugar (A$30m), M&C Saatchi (A$28m), Assignment (A$27m), Republik, Shine, Droga5 and Special (all $24m), Y&R Wellington (A$20m), M&C Saatchi Wellington & Barnes Catmur (A$18m), and last come bcg2 and Consortium (both A$15m).

Most billings & hot/cold placings are Campaign Brief’s estimates only (global agencies haven’t published audited billings since 2002).
