Agency folk are taking to the blogs to welcome the return of Ross Goldsack to Y&R as non-executive chairman.

“That is awesome, great move for Y&R; Ross is amazing,” wrote Anon at www.admedia.co.nz, and producer Dennis Mackay weighed in with, “Good on you, Ross”. Similar sentiments were expressed on the other Australasian trade blogs.

Goldsack’s new role means no change in the day-to-day running of the agency, with ceo Jon Ramage in charge.

“I’m personally looking forward to re-activating our successful partnership,” Ramage said in a media statement.”

“While I might have left the agency, I never left the business and believe I still have an enormous amount to offer, especially sitting outside it for the last couple of years I can now bring a new perspective,” Goldsack said.

While the appointment is effective immediately, Goldsack will officially take on the role upon his return from overseas in mid June.
