FLUXX is gearing up to help Ford NZ showcase the new Ford Focus ST at the Rally NZ MotoExpo being held at the Viaduct Events Centre in Auckland on June 21-24 (today-Sunday).
The vehicle on display will be the new high-performance model, which will be arriving at NZ dealers in November 2012. Pricing will be released closer to arrival date.
The showcase of the new Focus ST will be supported by two experiential displays at the MotoExpo and at No 1 Queen St in the CBD, created and produced by the team at FLUXX:Ideas in Motion. The new concept car will be on display alongside the Focus Titanium, with brand interaction provided by a specially built Race of Champions slot car race using replica Ford rally vehicles, with daily prizes available during the Rally of NZ.
Other Ford vehicles including the Monster Energy Ford Ranger and a replica of the Ken Block Gymkhana Fiesta from the Monster World Rally Team will be on display at No.1 Queen St.
The Focus ST development programme has been undertaken by Ford’s global Performance Vehicles group, which comprises Team RS (Europe) and SVT (USA) engineers, who are dedicated to developing and tuning products like the formidable Focus RS, Shelby GT500 Mustang and Raptor SVT F150.
For the new Focus ST, the development is being led by Team RS performance specialists based in Europe, building on their extensive experience in engineering sought-after cars like the previous ST models and legendary RS series.
